JOHN KOWAL, beloved husband of Mary Kowal, of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at the age of 70 years. John was born in the Ukraine on June 7, 1938. His family immigrated to Canada in June of 1948. John married Mary on May 2, 1966. They resided in Lethbridge their entire lives. John is survived by his wife Mary and their 5 children: Ralph (Darlene); Wendy (Dave); Doug (Katie); Patricia (Alvin); Dave (Amy); 18 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. John is also survived by his sisters Lydia Carman, Donna (Doug) Burrows; Nina (Brian) Humphries; and brother Alex Kowal. John was predeceased by his parents John and Fedorea Kowal and his brother Nick. The family would like to send a special thank-you to Dr. Kozan and all of the staff at St. Michael’s Palliative Care for all of their help. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Friday, October 3, at 3:00 P.M., with Pastor Dan Kees officiating.
