MR. JOHN O. CHARTRAND John has reached his final truck stop. With great sadness, our family announces his eternal rest. John is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Pat, daughters; Bonnie-Jean (Doug) Chartrand, and their children Cheyanne and John; Denise (Tim) Moroney and their daughter Meghan; Lisa (Garry) Thompson and their children David, Brian, Matthew and Sarah as well as Cathy’s children; Erin (Tom), Stacie and Karyn (Mark) and their daughter Alyssa. John is also survived by his step-children; Riley (Val) Larson and their children Cody and Layne, Patrick (Sarah) Larson and their children Braden, Randall and DJ, Barry (Janis) Larson and their children Amanda, Cyrene and Dylan and Sharla Larson as well as 5 sisters, 1 brother and several nieces and nephews. John has joined his late wife Connie, daughter Cathy, parents Nazaire and Bella as well as 7 siblings. John’s career in trucking has taken him millions of miles over the highways of Canada and the United States. His last few were with braveness and dignity. As we travel life’s highways, we were blessed to have John in our lives. Our hearts are heavy, but will lighten with the joyous memories of our well travelled friend! It is John’s wish for us to love each other, laugh and remember the good times we had. ‘Please, no tears, I am at peace now’. John leaves many friends to celebrate the joys of his life. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be welcomed by the Canadian Cancer Society, 317-10th Street South, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 2M7.
