So very sorry Brad, Jackie, Sue and families to hear about the loss of your dear Mom, Joan. Joan and George were wonderful neighbours of ours in Medicine Hat. We miss them still. We enjoyed getting to meet you too over the years. Fun memories over Jackie and Mich’s parrot that would stay there sometimes……no friend of George’s! Treasure your many memories, rest in peace Joan.
Dear Brad, Jackie and Sue and families, my cousins, our condolences on the passing of your dear mother. Joan was a wonderful woman of whom our family has many happy memories, along with George, on our many family trips to visit them in Barons and later, when they moved to Medicine Hat. Her kindness and love towards our family is something I will always treasure.
Our most sincere condolences to the Andrekson family. Joan and George were the nicest people you could ever meet.
Rod’s first memories of his cousin Joan go back to when she was a teenager. She would stay over in Barons and babysit Rod from when he was a baby until he was 5 years old and his parents moved away. Joan was always very kind and patient with Rod, which makes her a bit of a saint, as by all accounts he was a handful….a BIG handful. Rod continued his relationship with Joan and George over the years, visiting them at the farm and in Medicine Hat. When Rod’s parents retired to Claresholm, Joan and George were both very kind and helpful to them. I was fortunate to meet Joan through Rod and I felt an instant connection with her…..in her company, I was always filled with happiness. We will both remember Joan and George’s generosity in welcoming us into their home in Medicine Hat during the flood of 2013….not only did they house and feed us, but Joan kept our spirits up with her good conversation, warmth and support…..AND her delicious cinnamon buns….Joan could definitely cook. We have enjoyed our trips to Lethbridge to visit Joan as she transitioned from living in Medicine Hat to her two homes in Lethbridge, and every time, Joan greeted us with her beautiful smile, a sunny, happy, welcome and the best hugs. Joan is one of the best people we have ever known and we will miss her.
Jackie and Mitch, Brad and Leann, Sue and Der, Justin, Jeremy, Logan and families. Thinking of you all at this sad time. It is a difficult time and I hope the Lord will bless you with peace of mind.

Our deepest sympathies on your mom’s passing. Many years of great memories! Sorry I cannot attend Friday. Our best wishes to you all - and may you have a wealth of memories. Joan was a wonderful person - from the first time I met her as a kid (me) in Barons.
Joan was a lovely, sweet lady and I was privileged to get to know her at Extendicare when I would play the piano in her unit. I’m so sorry for your loss.
