JERRY BARTOSEK of Cranford, beloved husband of Rose Mary Bartosek passed away peacefully with his family by his side at St. Michael’s Palliative Care, on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at the age of 75 years.

Jerry was born on April 19, 1934 in Lethbridge, AB. to John and Marie Bartosek. He spent his entire life on the family farm working the land with his father and later with his son Greg.

Throughout his life Jerry served on various boards in the farming community. Jerry enjoyed playing hockey and golf, and watching auto racing, especially the sprint cars.

Jerry is survived by his wife Rose Mary, his three children Shelley (Al) Bartosek, Christine (Darrel) Penner and Gregory (Rosie) Bartosek, his grandchildren Colton Ruff, Nicholas Bartosek, Jaron and Keara Penner and Courtney and Brittney Bartosek, his sisters Angela Svehla and Pat Miskulin. Also left to mourn his passing, are his numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry was predeceased by his mother and father, brothers John and Frank, sister Stasie, mother and father in law, brother in law Steve, and nephews Allan and David.

A Prayer Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. with Prisca Baptista officiating.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 917 - 4th Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Tim Boyle Celebrant.

Private family interment will be held at Mountain View Cemetery
