His 3 daughters Linda Butcher of Calgary, Paula (Mark Wuerfel) Vogt of Lethbridge, Rosanne (Gordon) Williams of Lethbridge, and his eight grandchildren: Corey Butcher, Reed and Clay Vogt, Shania, Jade, Jena, McCoy, and Sheridan Williams. He is also survived by his brothers Gordon (Mary Ann) Jennings of Barrhead, AB, Russell (Francis) Jennings of Saskatoon, SK., his sister Delores Perry of Chaplin, SK. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. Norton is pre-deceased by his parents John and Jennie Jennings, his brother Jack Jennings and his sister Eileen Blomme. Norton was born in Central Butte, Saskatchewan on August 3, 1928; he grew up in the Aquadell District in Southern Saskatchewan where his family farmed. Norton had numerous jobs in his life time from farming, working on the oil rigs around Saskatchewan and Alberta, the Salt Plant in Chaplin, SK and Canada Packers in Moose Jaw, SK., until moving to Lethbridge in 1963 with his wife Lorraine where he worked at CDM and later Burns Meats as a scales man until his retirement. Norton was an avid hockey and baseball fan; he loved to go and watch his grandson’s hockey games and will be sadly missed at the rink. But he also enjoyed watching his grandchildren do whatever they had chosen to do, be it gymnastics, dance, figure skating or lacrosse. Norton also enjoyed the outdoors, camping and hunting was something he looked forward to every fall and spring. His annual hunting trips with his buddies up north were always the highlight to his year and something he really missed in his later years. In his later years Norton joined The Save on Foods Coffee Crew where he would go each morning with new friends for a coffee and bull session.
