Jean de Kreek
JEAN DE KREEK, beloved wife of the late Adriaan de Kreek, passed away peacefully at St. Therese Villa on Monday, June 29, 2026 at the age of 92 years.
She is survived by her daughters: Mary (Bryon) Harbers, Terry (Merv) Cradduck, Sharon (Dwayne) Beaton and daughter-in-law Yolanda de Kreek; seven grandchildren: Lisa Harbers, Jeff (Kristie) Harbers, Kevin (Lindsey) de Kreek, David (Chrissy) de Kreek, Michelle Cradduck (Dustin Smith), Laura (Joel) Spanos, and Andrew (Morgan) Beaton and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son Dirk (Dicky) in 1955, her husband Adriaan in 2008 and her son Dick in 2020.
Jean (née Groenenboom) was born on November 26, 1933, in Barendrecht Holland, the 3rd of 12 children. She immigrated, with her family, to Canada in 1952. Adriaan arrived in Canada shortly afterwards and they were married the following year. They raised their family on the farm at Park Lake.
Jean is also survived by her brother Dan (Riet) Groenenboom and sisters: Henny Wiskerke, Ria (Joe) Fedyniak, Janny (Keith) Nugent, Truus Bolokoski, Cobie (Andrew) Oosterbroek, and Mieke Rice; her sisters-in-law: Betsy, Margaret, Betty, and Leny Groenenboom; as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and the Netherlands. She was also predeceased by brothers Jake, Bas, Joe, and Huib Groenenboom and brothers-in-law Huib Wiskerke, Marvin Bolokoski, and Bob Rice.
The family would like to thank the staff at St Therese for their kindness and support over the years, and especially in the last few weeks.
We will always carry your memory in our hearts. A private family service will be held.

I'm keeping you close in my thoughts and praying for you. Your mom was a special woman. She and your dad raised some incredible people! I'm glad that I was able to know her. May God give you peace and happy memories at this time. Love to all.
