Jay was a husband, father, son, brother, business owner, coach, mentor, friend and golfing buddy to many. His hobbies included making wine, golf, watching the Green Bay Packers, golf, Knights of Columbus activities and the occasional round of golf. Jay lived by the mantra “you drive for show but putt for dough” as many of his golfing buddies and their wallets will attest.
Left to cherish Jay’s memory are his two sons of whom he was so very proud, Scott (Ronda) and Cam (Angie); his special grandchildren, Isabella, Blake and Paige; his fur baby Zoey; brother Darryl (Joan); and sister Maureen (Andy) as well as his many nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and all else who knew him. He will especially be missed by his beloved wife of 59 years, Cynthia who was his support and love until his very last breath.
A Memorial Mass will be held at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 – 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Kevin Tumback celebrating. The Memorial Mass will be live-streamed and may be viewed through Jay’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Jay, donations can be made to the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation 960 – 19th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, T1J 1W5.
