On November 14, 2021, MAISIE JACOBSON, beloved wife of the late Art Jacobson, passed away peacefully at St. Therese Villa, at the age of 98 years.
Maisie was born in Leo, AB, moving to Hanna, Huxley, and a farm in the Delburne area. As a young lady, she came to the Warner District, where she met and married Arthur Jacobson. Farming was a family affair with their two children. They were involved in community events and the Evangelical church. Summers involved holidays in Waterton, fishing and golfing.
After Art passed away in 1975, she moved into the town of Warner, and in 1982, she moved to Lethbridge. She travelled the world, was a member of the Twinning Society, volunteered at the Soup Kitchen and was very involved with programs at McKillop United Church.
She is survived by children Milton (aka Jake) and Donna.
She was predeceased by her husband Arthur, parents Frank and Amelia Grover, six brothers and six sisters, along with some nieces and nephews, and special daughter-in-law Loretta.
Her family would like to thank the caring staff at St. Therese Villa, especially the Recreation Department, all the caring doctors from the Family Medical Centre who brought immense comfort, and most importantly, a huge thank you to friends and family for cards, letters, phone calls and in-person visits that meant so much to our social butterfly, Maisie.
In lieu of flowers, please consider an act of kindness for a friend or stranger.

Maise will always have a place in my heart. She was a beloved family friend and I will remember her with much love. She was a kind soul and she will be missed.
Have not kept in touch since I moved from Lethbridge in 1986 but thought if Maudie often. She was a super friend and a great hostess She will be missed
Donna and Jake. I was sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. We were very close friends in the 80s and early 90s until I moved away. Your Mom was a special lady and a true friend. We had many laughs together over the years but I would be remiss if I didn't tell about the time she mistook garlic slices for almond slices that she put in her muffins. That story got a lot of mileage. We might have lost touch this past few years but she was never far from my heart. RIP Maisie.
The best advice you gave me was, if you have the opportunity to travel go for it. Going to miss you my friend.
We are deeply saddened to hear of Maisie's passing. She always referred to herself as my other mother as we spent a lot of time together with you guys in our early years. She was a strong and courageous woman but always had a warm, welcoming smile. May you treasure the special memories of the life of your mother. With heartfelt condolences, Harold & Lorraine.
I have known Maisey since we both travelled with Personalized Travel and Tours 45 years ago! What a wonderful lady she was ... so kind, thoughtful, gracious, and full of fun! Our group had wonderful times in Hawaii ... and later travelled through South America together. Maisey was a generous and extraordinary hostess, and I enjoyed many pleasant social events in her home. I will always remember her for her faith ... her dedication to family, church and community ... her volunteerism ... as well as her beauty, extravagant dress, and her sunny disposition. I will miss her bright smile, her infectious laugh, and all the great times we had! She truly was ... a lovely lady! Marvin Maronda of Lomond
