She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joe in 2015. Irene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her children Joe (Shierra) Prepsl and Shelley (Duane) Harper, her three grandchildren Becky Prepsl, David Prepsl and Kennedy (Brendan) Kennedy, and her great granddaughter Aurora Peters, and also her great companion Lily, her black poodle. Irene will be greatly missed by her family.

Irene’s family want to extend they’re thanks to the nurses and doctors at the Chinook Regional Hospital and also the kind, compassionate care she received during her last days at St. Michael’s Palliative Care.

Irene loved her family deeply, she was fun and full of energy, always up for a party or a gathering. Her favorite thing was to have her family gather together and have fun. It’s hard to believe life is going to go on without her. She will be missed so much.

At Irene’s request, no formal funeral service will be held.
