LEE JAY HUGHES, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully in his super man-cave beside his beloved pool table on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the age of 51 years.
LEE JAY HUGHES, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully in his super man-cave beside his beloved pool table on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the age of 51 years.
Lee was predeceased by his grandparents, Cliff & Marie Hughes, and Herman & Mabel Teige.
He is survived by his nephew, Steele Bizuk of Edmonton, nieces, Montana Bizuk of Edmonton, Stevie Hughes of Pincher Creek, Fallon Clarke of Valleyview (Alta) and Ryleigh Wolfe of Lacrete (Alta), brothers, Darcy Paquette (Kim) of Grand Prairie and Carey Chonkolay (Lori) of Edmonton, his sisters, Terry Hughes of St. Albert, Cheryl Hughes of Pincher Creek, Shelly Paquette of Peace River, his father, Bob Hughes of Lethbridge, his mother, Ev Hughes of Lethbridge. He is also survived by his special nieces, Nevaeh Procee and Jerzee Procee, his special nephew Lyric Procee, one step-sister, Amber Herdman, and one step-brother Daniel Orcutt.
After graduating from LCI in 1988, Lee worked several years in the family business, Galaxy Power Tools, and enjoyed interacting, especially selling with all customers. After the business closed, Lee carried on as an entrepreneur, enjoying buying and selling, surviving off "The Juice" as he called it. Lee was an expert pool player and an avid NASCAR fan. He always had an infectious smile for everyone.
The funeral service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street, South, Lethbridge, on Friday, September 17th at 1:00 P.M. Viewing is available from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. A time of fellowship & refreshments will follow. Lee will be laid to rest in Mountain View Cemetery.

Bob, I was deeply sorry to hear about your sons passing. Just know that you're in my thoughts. It's a loss and you'll have memories of him forever. But you will get through this.
