HUGH LOGAN MELVIN, beloved husband of the late Mazie Melvin, passed away at the Lethbridge Extendicare on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the age of 93 years. He is survived by his nieces, nephews and their spouses. Besides his loving wife Mazie, Hugh was predeceased by his parents Agnes Melvin-Garett and Hugh Melvin, brothers Bill Melvin, Jim Melvin and Alex Melvin and sisters Jean Willcocks and Nancy Mossey. Hugh was born on July 5, 1914 in Lethbridge, AB. He served in WWII from 1941 to 1945 in the Royal Canadian Army Services Corp. He served in Canada, the UK and Continental Europe. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Army Navy Vets Club and the Minors Library. Hugh worked for the Provincial Government before retiring. A Celebration of Hugh’s Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 10:30 A.M.
