It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hubregt on Thursday, December 17, 2014 at the age of 79 in Lethbridge, AB.
He is survived by his wife Hennie (nee Groenenboom) of 53 years and their children James (Rowena) Wiskerke, Brenda (Marc) Rathwell and Anita Meyer. His greatest joy was the birth of his 11 grandchildren Grayson (Danielle), Kennedy, Tanis, Dawson, Weston, Broden, Kaden, Janna, Claire, Mataya and Adelyn. Hubregt is also survived by two sisters in the Netherlands and one brother on Vancouver Island as well as numerous in-laws and nieces and nephews.
Hubregt was schooled in Holland as a horticulturist, immigrated to Canada in 1954 at the age of 19. Hubregt realized his lifelong dream of becoming a farmer with his son James and was passionate about farming until his passing.
