On this earth I had the privilege to meet and know Patricia (Trish) Horvat who's work on this earth was to make my brother, Patrick's life better and the blessing of two kind and wonderful son's, my nephew's Sam and Matthew. That is what she did..."when you look at the world thru the eyes of hope; you can seek out God's best and everyday becomes a promise"...and Trish is God's best. Sorry for this loss...Gone but not forgotten! sister-in-law, sister and auntie Beverly Catherine Horvat XOXO (March 8, 2016)

Ah Pat, it is with a deeply saddened heart that I received the email from Jim about the passing of Trish, your beloved wife and travelling companion. It took me back to years ago, the travel agency where it all started, your wedding, Xmas Eve's at Mary's home with your 3 boys; trip to Taiwan and on to Thailand for Trish and I, the births of your sons, your home in Whitefish and then year's later our last visit at your home in Lethbridge. Trish was truly one of those rare, special sweet souls that I have the great fortune to have known in my lifetime. One of those rare people that no matter the time in between, that when you meet again, you pick up from where you left off. My condolences to you and your family especially to your sons, what a tragic loss for everyone. What a wonderful life you gave her Pat, her dreams of travel and seeing the world, raising a family and coming home. May those treasured memories help the ease the pain of her suffering and your loss. You have all been in my thoughts this past week. It is difficult at these times to live away as I would have been there with you today to celebrate the Trish's life. Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My heart hurts for you Patrick, and all your Boys and Grandchildren. Trish I know loved the travel. The stories and the experiences are fantastic memories for all your family. To have had a girl like Trish by your side throughout your Journey's would of been so precious. Trish was such a good person. She will be missed dearly. My condolences to you, Sammy, Matthew, Rob, Jason, Allan, Bryan and Terry, for being such a good friend to Trish.

I'm crushed to hear of Patricia's passing especially after her long hard battle. Shared years with her through school and as life happens and we go on our journeys in life I lost touch. Connected with her and terry when visiting family in Lethbridge. Life friends are ones that you don't have to always be in touch with but can pick up where you left things on a last visit. I was pleased to see how her life has meaning because of the life she shared with you Pat and the legacy she leaves will always carry on through her children and grandchildren. I think at the end of life we hope to be remembered for a few things from our journey. Hers journey is at an end but yours Pat will continue and just be assured that you have many prayers and well wishes sent your way.

I am heart broken for the Horvat family but I know the love and bond that they all share will carry them and warm them. I also have had the opportunity in my life to experience that love and bond along with warm hospitality from Patricia and Pat Horvat. I will never forget her kindness toward me and my family over the last 16 years nor the thanksgiving, Easter and Christmas meals shared together. God bless you all. Trish is a very important part of Julia's life. She picked her up from school when I had to work late, she made nests near the fireplace when Julia and Brandon had a sleepover, she taught Julia to pick raspberries, she loved Julia like her own granddaughter and I will always be gratefull for that! She is now in Paradise, and that's where she deserves to be!

I have known "Bear" as I use to call her, but after all these years, can not remember why -- have known her since we were in grade 1. Through the years after grad we drifted in and out of each others life's, but she always had a special place in my heart!! Loved her always! So sorry - prayers are with the family
