MRS. MARY HODGSON, beloved wife of the late Mr. Edward Hodgson of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the age of 76 years.

Mary is survived by her brother Anton (Tony) Hack and his wife Eva, brother in law John (Bev) Hodgson - all of Simcoe, sisters in law Dorothy Butler of Duncan, BC, Alice Bur of Toronto, ON, several nieces and nephews.

Mary was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Edward. She was also predeceased by her parents Anton and Elizabeth Hack, as well as her sister Elizabeth Schuyler.

Mary was born in Hamilton, Ontario on October 9, 1933. She attended school in Waterford, Ontario. Mary worked for the Norfolk Fruit Growers in Simcoe where she met Eddie.
Eddie and Mary traveled the world living in Australia for two years having many adventures. Upon their return to Canada they settled in Lethbridge and Mary continued working in banking. They enjoyed car racing and traveled to Daytona several times.

In retirement, Mary was busy gardening, bowling, playing bingo and visiting with her friends.

She will be remembered by friends and family for her kindness, loyalty, compassion and sense of humour.

A Memorial Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. with Major Glenn Habkirk officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
