Hildegard Hessler Unterseher (Parker) Born on March 18, 1923, and passed away peacefully in her home on March 11, 2014. Hilda is survived by and will be missed by many family members; her son Charles (Jacquie) Parker of Lethbridge and daughter Audrey (Jim) Jeffrey of Porcupine Plain, SK. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Billie Jo (Larry) Basque, Angela (Jamie) Woolford, and Jason Nieuwenhuis of Lethbridge AB, and Brandon Nieuwenhuis of Grande Prairie, AB. Eleven great-grandchildren; Jordyn, Daniel, Tianna, Austin, Omega, Cameron, Shayla, Faith, Abbigayle, Rylan and Parker. Step-daughter Karen (Ed) Siewart of BC, and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, Hilda is predeceased by one sister; Ruth (Fred) Vold, step-daughter Adrianne (Bob) Herter, and her beloved husbands William Parker (1972) and Jack Unterseher (1995). Hilda was born and raised on the family farm near Kelstern, SK, and attended school in Ernfold. While in this area, she enjoyed farm life, socializing at the local dances, and working as a live in nanny in her teen years. Hilda married William Parker in 1942, and moved to Lethbridge, Alberta in 1950. She adjusted to city life well, working part time at Eaton's Department Store. After her husband's passing in 1972, Hilda furthered her education in bookkeeping and worked at Advanced Lumber and Simpson Sears. In 1980, Hilda married Jack Unterseher. The two of them enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling in their RV. Throughout her life, she enjoyed helping others and being on the go; she traveled to many places and always opened her home to family and friends passing through Lethbridge. Her quiet courage, strength of spirit, creativity, love of sports, love of animals, and sense of humor will be carried forward by those who knew and loved her. A Service of Remembrance will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 - Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Saturday, March 15th, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Bob Butler officiating.
