GERARD JOSEPH HICKEY, beloved husband of the late Kathleen Hickey, of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the age of 91 years.

Gerard is survived by two sons; Lorne of Wilson Siding and Dale of Lethbridge as well as 3 Step-granddaughters and 4 step-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by mom (Kay) and his parents Mike and Theresa Hickey.

Dad was born in Lethbridge on May 8, 1919 where he lived until 1923 when they moved to the farm south of Wilson Siding.

Dad married Kay Thompson on January 27, 1943. Mom and dad were married for 63 years. They farmed and raised livestock until moving to Lethbridge in 1982.

Dad loved farming and continued to come to the farm until 2007 when he was no longer able to do so.

A Prayer Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB., on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 7:00 P.M.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 - 12th Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB., on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Raul Hernandez, Celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the Canadian Cancer Society, 317-10th Street South, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 2M7, or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Box 2211, Lethbridge, AB., T1J 4K7.
