HENRY KOWALSKI

MR. HENRY KOWALSKI passed away at the St. Michael’s Health Centre on Friday, September 28, 2007 at the age of 84 years. Henry is survived by his daughter Yola (Randy) Bloomberg; his grandchildren Kendra, Kassi and Kylar; his sister Jane Guzowski; his brothers Louie (Alice), Alex, and Joseph (Jadwiga); and Lucy (George) Hurst; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Michelle, sister Kathy, and brother Zennon. Born in Poland on March 3, 1923, Henry immigrated to Canada with his family in 1950. In 1962 he became a Journeyman Plasterer and later operated his own plastering and stuccoing business. He was hard working and always took pride in the work he did. Henry always enjoyed the outdoors. On weekends he could usually be found by a lake in the mountains camping and fishing with family and friends. He also loved to spend countless hours in his greenhouse and garden nurturing his many flowers and vegetables. Although Henry enjoyed many things in life his greatest pride and joy were his three grandchildren. Spending time with them always put an extra twinkle in his eye. Henry will be sadly missed. A Prayer Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Monday, October 1, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 604 - 13th Street North, Lethbridge on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Raul Hernandez Celebrant. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
