Henry John Bateman of Brant, Alberta passed away at the Little Bow Care Centre in Carmangay on August 6, 2009 at the age of 92 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by Sinida, his wife of 58 years, his children Wayne (Sandra) Bateman of Calgary, and Dianne (Alf) Daw of Vulcan.

His grandchildren Michael, Chris (Robyn) and Tim Daw and Robert Bateman brought him great joy. He is also survived by his sister Jean Bignall of Trail, BC. Henry was predeceased by his parents, George and Jessie, three brothers, Earl, Robert and Glen and by three sisters, Vella, Lola and Margaret.

Henry farmed in the Brant District for 62 years. He enjoyed curling and attending Saturday night dances that were held in the Brant hall. Henry loved visiting with people and had met many new friends at the Little Bow Care Centre Hospital where he had spent the last seven years.

Relatives, friends and neighbours are invited to a celebration of Henry’s life at the VULCAN UNITED CHURCH, 201-2nd. Ave. S., Vulcan, AB. on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 1:00 P.M.

The family would like to thank the staff at Little Bow for the excellent care and love given to Henry.
