MRS. HAZEL McALPINE, passed away at peacefully at the Taber Health Centre on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the age of 92 years.

Hazel Mae (Borchert) McAlpine was born in Carmangay, Alberta on April 27, 1921, where she lived until she married Stewart McAlpine on June 11, 1945. She was privileged to live in numerous communities in Alberta from Irvine in the south to High Level in the north making many friends in each place they resided. Hazel and Stewart retired to Lethbridge in 1980 where they resided until entering long term care in 2001.

Hazel is survived by son Wayne (Sandra), daughter Wendy (Alfred) Johnson, grandchildren Jennifer (Aaron) Frim, Heather Johnson, Carl (Britten) Johnson, Trevor McAlpine, Scot (Mandy) McAlpine and great grandchildren Ian Frim, Demri Johnson, Jack McAlpine, Ryden Johnson, Brolan McAlpine as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Hazel was predeceased by husband Stewart, daughter Patricia, as well as sisters Doris Johnson, Margaret McTavish, Ruth Schumacher and Bernice Fleetwood.

A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Glenda Wert officiating.
