BERNARD HANSON of Three Hills, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the age of 82 years. He is survived by his brother Tony Hanson, of Edmonton, and sisters Edith (Ed) Theriau, Evelyn Geddert and Vivian (Ingmar) Jacobson, all of Lethbridge. He is also survived by 27 nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Anton and Agnes Hanson and sisters Pearl Thomsen and Marie Ruggles. Bernard was born on February 22, 1929 on the Hanson farm. He continued to operate the farm in the Enchant area supporting the community and the Evangelical Free Church until his semi-retirement to Vancouver Island. He returned to Alberta settling in Three Hills until his passing. Bernard made many wonderful friendships where he lived. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 7-8 p.m. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Enchant Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, 4717-24 Avenue South, Lethbridge, on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor’s Tim Seim and Norm Koop officiating. A Memorial Service will also be held at MOUNT OLIVE EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, 705-6 Avenue South, Three Hills, on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. In memory of Bernard, donations may be made to Southern Alberta Bible Camp, Box 99 Lomond, AB T0L 1G0, or to a charity of choice.
