It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of PETER WESLEY HANSEN, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the age of 68 years.
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of PETER WESLEY HANSEN, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the age of 68 years.
Peter is survived by his son Jasen Hansen (Kage and Barrett); daughter Carri Hansen (Hayden and Dane); brother Doug (Shirley) Hansen and sister Laura (Bob) Bosch as well as numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends. Peter was predeceased by his parents Christian and Evelyn Hansen and brother Gary Hansen.
Peter was born in Lethbridge on June 24, 1950. He was raised in Masinasin, spending his entire life in the area he loved. Peter moved to Lethbridge and in 1985 established his business, West Wind Airspray Ltd. He recently sold his business and retired so that he could spend more time with his cherished family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at WEST WIND AIRSPRAY LTD., 154 Kenyon Dr. S, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Please join his family to remember the amazing man who left us too soon.

We were shocked and deeply saddened to hear of a Peter's passing. His kindness in co-hosting Iain's retirement party last year as well as his gentle demeanour will always be a cherished memory for us both. Heartfelt condolences to Carri and the whole Hansen family at the loss of someone we know you loved so much.

So sorry to learn of Peter's passing. I know he was one of my Dad's favourite cousins. Our family always enjoyed visiting with him and appreciated his kindness in keeping in contact with and visiting his Auntie Alberta (my Grama). We will remember his great sense of humor and infectious grin!

My deepest condolences to you all for the sudden loss of an amazing man! Seeing his photo in his obituary just made me smile because this is just how I remember him. I was privileged to have known him from the time I was a little girl and some how he took on the nickname 'Peter Cottontail' to me and my sister (still to this day we called him that). I will forever remember the memories I had with your father/grandpa. When he was able to fly low over our house on the acreage we would always get excited to run out of the house to wave and chase after the streamers he would let out of his window. He was truly a remarkable man and I am sincerely sorry for your sudden loss.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Peter. He was a classmate and dear friend. During the last Milk River celebration we had such a good time visiting. He will be missed by all by who knew him!

Peter and I were classmates for 3 years when we both attended high school at Erle River High School in Milk River. Peter was the best kind of human being in every category that one can think of. My most heartfelt sympathy to his family and to his friends. I am proud to state that Peter was my "friend" and I am extremely sad to hear of his passing.
