ELIZABETH INGRAM "ELSIE" HALMRAST, passed away peacefully at the Edith Cavell Care Centre on Sunday, August 24th, 2014 at the age of 91 years.
Elsie was born the daughter of George & Eleanor Russell in Dalmuir, Dumbartonshire, Scotland on April 22nd, 1923. She came to Canada, moving to the Picture Butte area with her parents and an older brother, Roy, in 1924. After 13 years there they moved to the Masinasin area east of Milk River. It was here she met Ernest Halmrast. They were married on November 4th, 1954 and they farmed and ranched in the Kippenville area until they retired to Lethbridge in 2008.
There will be a private family service at a later date.
