Hales, Thomas "PaPa"

Date of Service: September 29, 2023

THOMAS P.P. HALES, "PaPa", was called home by Jesus, his Lord and Savior, on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

THOMAS P.P. HALES, "PaPa", was called home by Jesus, his Lord and Savior, on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

Left to carry on his legacy of family is the love of his life, Linda Hales and the greatest joy of his life, his daughter, Shelley Hales Payne "Charlie".  He will be deeply missed, but always admired by his beloved grandson Ryan Payne (Samantha) and granddaughter Lyndsay MacKay (Matthew). He is also survived by his four great-grandchildren: Max, Ollie, Ben and Will, who will carry on his lasting desire for learning, life and love.

He was predeceased by his precious daughter Patricia Hales.

Although a true innovator and designer many years ahead of his time, his greatest accomplished passion was always his beloved family.  For a lifetime, he was an inspiration to his family and shared his love and prized possessions with those around him; his spirit of giving, both possessions and unending wisdom and love will be forever remembered.

Our PaPa was dedicated to his family and was always there to support his family in any way possible, while most happy spending time with Linda, Shelley, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We love you PaPa and will see you again very soon.

At the family's request, no funeral service will be held. Cremation entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home.  Flowers are gratefully declined.

Linda and all the family, Sending our deepest condolences. Very sad to hear of Tom's passing. We have lasting memories of the fun times growing up in the old neighbourhood. Forever in our hearts.

Dear Linda, Shelley and family, We are saddened to hear of the passing of Tom. He was such a kind and gentle man. I will miss seeing him puttering around outside. Thinking of you all and sending our deepest condolences.

Arnold & Mary Ann Waldner, September 29, 2023

I was very saddened this morning to learn of this wonderful man's passing away. Mr Hales, growing up across the street from you allowed my sister Jen and I to grow up with a fun and quirky grandpa that we never had. He filled many shoes to those that looked up to him and loved him. I've often spoke to friends and family about the fun times strolling over to the Hales house, to play with Ryan and Lindsay, and Tom and Linda always had their warm welcome mat. In the days is coming I will reflect and remember the amazing person he was. Condolences to the whole family and Mr Hales, you will be missed!
