HELEN GRACE HACKSON (nee Snowden) passed away peacefully with her family at her side on February 2, 2012 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by her husband David Hackson. Loving mother to Leigh (Bill) Monette, Kim (Rick) Robinson, Darin (Darlene) Sjonger and David Hackson Jr. Helen will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Derek and Greg Hackson, Jill Robinson (Al Watmough) and Jessica Robinson (John Brodoway) and Kaitlin Hackson. Proud great-grandmother to Emily and Baeley. She is also survived by her brother Bill (Carol) Snowden, sisters-in-law Virgina Hackson and Sandra Hackson, brother-in-law Doug McNairn and many nieces and nephews. Dearest and long-time friend to Eric Campbell and Grace & Earl Ingarfield. Helen and Dave loved to travel in their motor-home and abroad. She loved to play bridge and enjoyed social involvement with her exercise classes. Her love of life and people touched the lives of all those who knew her. Her quiet courage, strength of spirit and beautiful smile will be carried forward by those who knew and loved her. She was well loved for her humour, respect and generous spirit. Special thanks to Celeste, Kari and all the staff at St. Michael’s Palliative Care for all the loving support and care. A Service of Remembrance will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., with Revered Deborah Lannon officiating.
