STANLEY THORALF GUSTUM, beloved husband of Judy, of Lethbridge, AB., passed away peacefully and surrounded by family, at the Edith Cavell Care Centre, on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at the age of 74 years.
Along with his wife Judy, he is lovingly remembered by his children: Brian of Lethbridge, Brenda (Albert) Siebert of Nanaimo, Gerry (Mary Marose), Shawn (Shirlene) and Dililla Gustum, all of Lethbridge; grandchildren: Amber, Justin, Tanner, Brandon, Keegann, Tyler, Travis, Shaylynn and Kylee; five great-grandchildren; and siblings: Albert (MaryAnn) Gustum, Lillian (George) Butler and Rita (John) Carson.
He was predeceased by his parents,Thoralf and Guri, his son Kyle and siblings:Gladys Skretting, Leonard Gustum, Ella Rees and Lorene Gorski.
Stan was born in Lethbridge, grew up in Circle Hill and went to school in Vauxhall. He worked on heavy equipment then started his own business, Gustum Excavating Ltd. until his retirement. Stan enjoyed family time, golfing, camping, fishing and going to Vegas. He was a handyman and loved to fix things. Stan also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing checkers and taking them on trips.
He will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched as well as his faithful companion, his dog Panda.
A Celebration of Stan's Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB., on Saturday, April 2nd, 2016 from 2:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M.
