LOUIE ZEPHIRIN GOULET passed away peacefully at Lethbridge Chinook Regional Hospital on July 18, 2021, with his family by his side.
Louie is survived by his loving wife Shirley Goulet, his sons Trevor (Heather) Goulet, Tony (Margie) Goulet, Todd (Rhonda) Goulet, Scott Goulet, and a special family friend Andy Carroll, his grandchildren Julian Higgins, Samuel and Maxine Goulet, Natasha (Derick) Bryce, Jaymee Goulet (Lane Lyke), Dakota and Jayden Goulet, Ayslyn Goulet, and one great-grandson Remington Bryce. He is also survived by his sisters Mable Johnson, Mattie Hagen as well as his brother and sisters-in-law Fred Johnson, Marion Yanke, Lorraine (Jim) Bjarnason, Evelyn Jesse, Margaret (LeRoy) Marthaller, and Vi Goulet along with numerous nieces and nephews. Louie was predeceased by his parents Archie (Louie) and Gertrude Goulet, his brothers Victor and Joseph Goulet, mother and father-in-law Freda and Carl Johnson, brothers and sisters-in-law Elizabeth Johnson (Bill Bysuk), Betty (Dennis) Christopherson, Roy Johnson, Edward Johnson, Bill Yanke, Edwin Jesse, Art Hagen, as well as a niece and two nephews Pam Johnson, Brian Johnson, and Leon Goulet.
Louie married his wife Shirley on April 15, 1966, where they later settled down in Warner where he worked for the County of Warner until he retired. Louie will be missed but never forgotten along with his many jokes and stories he loved to share over coffee.
A private graveside service will be held at the Warner Cemetery on August 7, 2021, with a Memorial Come and Go Lunch to be held at the WARNER CIVIC CENTRE from 1:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Louie to HALO Air Ambulance, 557-18th Street SW, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 8C4 or STARS, 1441 Aviation Park NE, Calgary, AB T2E 8M7.
