GEORGE BOHUS

GEORGE BOHUS, of Coaldale passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the age of 82 years.

George is survived by his niece Betty (Arnie) Rushfeldt of Bonnyville, AB and her family, nephew George Bohus of Lethbridge, and nephew in law, Steve Real of Taber.

He was predeceased by his parents Paul & Judith, three brothers Paul, John and Andrew Bohus and one niece Judy Real.

George was born in Hungary in December of 1926, he was the youngest of four boys. He and his family emigrated to Canada in 1929 settling in southern Manitoba, then later moving to southern Alberta. They settled in the Raymond area. George went to school in Raymond and later, Olds College where he graduated in 1949 with a Diploma in Agriculture. George farmed with his brothers Paul and Andrew for a few years before he applied for a job with Agriculture Canada at the Lethbridge Research Station. He worked at the research station as a bean technician for 29 years before he retired in 1992. George loved gardening and driving but the most important thing to him was his walk with God. He was a devoted Sabbath keeper for 52 years. His church holy days gave him the opportunity to travel all over the world, which he and his brother Andrew did. George will be sadly missed for his gentle spirit and his droll sense of humour.

Funeral Services for George will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Larry DeLong officiating. Interment to follow at the Coaldale Cemetery.
