LOUISE GAST, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2016 at the age of 76 years while being prepared for bed at the Edith Cavell Care Facility in Lethbridge.
Her last words were "I won't need that anymore," when told that her usual glass of water was at her bedside.
Louise was the fifth of six children, born to her parents, Magdalina and Jacob Gast Jr. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Kenneth (Leagh) Gast and Arthur Gast, her sister Gloria Duncan, her niece Debbie Tonner and her nephew Neil Postle.
She leaves to mourn her sister Jennie Postle, brother Stan Gast (Rose), five nieces and three nephews whose names she always remembered, plus numerous cousins, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Louise cared about animals, little children, flowers and Chinese food. She also found delight in small things like a hair pick to use on a new perm.
There will be a Christian Funeral Service for Louise at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 82 North 2nd St. West, Magrath, Alberta, on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Interment in the family plot at the Sterling Cemetery following the Service.
