FREDRICK PETER STOCKER passed away with his family at his side on October 10, 2014 at the age of 72 after a courageous battle with cancer.He was predeceased by his mother Olga, father Clarence Stocker and Stepfather Bill Rinehart. Survived by his wife of 46 years Michelene Stocker of Magrath, AB. Son Craig Stocker of Raymond, AB - Grandchildren Jessica, Madison, Marissa, and Colby. Daughter Sandra (Peter) Goodall of Summerland, B.C. Grandchildren Emily and Sara.Fred was born January 12, 1942 in Cardston, AB. He went to School in Del Bonita and then went on to attend SAIT in Calgary for a year where he took welding and automotive Mechanics. After his schooling he met and married Michelene Madison. Fred and Michelene were finally married on September 22, 1968 after a blizzard delayed the wedding for a day. He farmed the family farm in Del Bonita for more than 50 years then in 2001 retired to Magrath where he resided until his passing.Fred loved to travel and enjoyed all his trips from the Arctic Circle to Panama Canal and Hawaii to PEI.He was a selfless, thoughtful, and honourable man who loved and was proud of his family. His quiet courage, strength of spirit, creativity, and sense of humor will be carried forward by those who knew and loved him. He was well known for his Christmas Display which lit up the town of Magrath. He built several three wheeled bikes and enjoyed taking on difficult projects. He had a love for camping, playing cards, and model trains. He had a never ending ability to fix, build, and invent things.A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday October 15, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, 21 East 1 Ave S Magrath AB., beside the High School. There will be a Meet the Family at 12 o'clock at the church. In lieu of flowers, as a gift to his daughter, donations to the MS Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Fred's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Many happy memories of him when we were growing up and visiting the family farm, with him, Auntie Olga, and Uncle Clarence.
