He leaves to mourn his memory Grace Huszar (nee Holmes) who was his wife of 33 years, his son Jason Huszar by a previous marriage with Wanda Petrie, and his children with Grace, Franklin and Teresa Huszar, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, their partners and families.
He was predeceased by his mother, Teresa Huszar, his father, Frank Huszar Sr., his brothers Simon and John Huszar, his sister Helen (Steve) Angel, and his daughter, Mellssa Korsch, sister of Jason Huszar.
Frank graduated from the University of Lethbridge and went on to teach physical education at St. Joseph’s school in Coaldale for 25 years.
Frank was a lifetime member of Lethbridge Playgoers and a recipient of Lethbridge Musical Theatre’s Lemmi award. Frank also shared his theatrical talents with the people of St. Augustine’s church, where he performed with his daughter Teresa in many Vacation Bible School plays and Christmas pageants.
His archery skills, and his love of theater and camping lead him naturally into the Society for Creative Anachronism, (SCA) Here he met his wife, Grace and the family enjoyed many events together.
As he had retired from teaching by the time of their marriage, Frank joined his wife Grace in running a licensed family day home, an occupation that allowed them to spend quality time with their children, Franklin and Teresa, as well as the many little ones who enjoyed Frank’s playful spirit and gift for creative drama.
Throughout his life, Frank was an active member of many clubs. He held offices in the Fraternal Order of the Eagles where he was a lifetime member. He was a member of both the Hungarian Cultural Society of Southern Alberta and the Hungarian Canadian Old Timers’ Society of Lethbridge.
These associations gave him the opportunity to attend dances, where, as recently as one year ago, he could still dance the night away, doing two steps, waltzes, and, his favorite, Jive. He even enjoyed coming to the business meetings and supervising the renovations at the Old Timers’ Hall as Grace’s constant companion.
Nyugodjon békében Feri. Rest in Peace, Frank.
A Celebration of Frank’s life will be held at ST. AUGUSTINE’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 411 – 11 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Erin Phillips officiating. The Celebration of life will be live-streamed and may be viewed through Frank’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.

Dear Grace, Teresa, Franklin and Jason, It was always a pleasure to "play" with Frank! We so appreciated his talent, commitment, energy, and good humour when working on the Vacation Bible School plays and Christmas plays! And James really enjoyed riding that train with Frank in "The Music Man." Our sincere condolences on the loss of your husband and father. We are sorry that we were out of town for the service, but our prayers will continue to be with you. May Frank rest in peace and rise in glory. Love, James, Judith and Rachel
