It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doug Forster on January 20, 2022. He was born in Lethbridge May 22, 1946. He lived in Kimberley, BC for many years.

Doug is predeceased by his parents Reg and Mary Forster and his son Wade Forster. He is survived by his daughter (Angela Imler) Grandchildren Adam Forster, Kennedy Imler and Matthew Imler and his three siblings, Don Forster, Denise Templeton and Maureen Driscoll and several nieces and nephews.

Doug had the most beautiful smile and biggest laugh. He loved being around his family. Doug was a huge animal lover. He had many pets over the years, including Butter and Heidi.

Doug worked for BC Parks for many years as a Park Warden and drove school bus for Kimberley School District.

Doug was a huge storyteller and people loved to hear his stories.

Celebration to be determined at a later time.

I viewed Doug as both a business partner (in Marmalade Creek Ranch) and as a friend. He always impressed me by his sense of humour and laid back approach to life. Doug's family and friends along with Canadians in general have lost a unique character. Cheers my friend from both Debbie and me.

My deepest sympathies to the Forster family. Work or play Doug was just a great person to be around! He stepped into leather and looked for distance.
