FOLK, JOHN

The family of JOHN share great sadness on the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend.
John was predeceased by his much loved mother Anne Fehr and his beloved wife Betty. John was born in Schuler, Alberta and spent his youth in the Okanagan and Calgary. John moved to Lethbridge and worked for many years for Burns Meats and CDM. John retired 18 years ago and often said “I don’t know how I had time to work.” John spent his retirement years building things, fixing things for himself and countless others, doing woodwork, camping, fishing and golfing. For the past seven years he and Heather have greatly enjoyed spending the winter months in Yuma, Arizona, a place he truly loved. John is survived by his loving and devoted wife Heather, eldest son Rick and Lori Folk (Carly & Matthew) of Edmonton, son Barry Folk (Kristi & Kaitlyn) of Camrose and daughter Corrine Folk (Kayla) of Kingman, Alberta. John is also survived by his extended family, Guy and Tunde Nitz of Las Vegas and Shirley McKay (Rob, Steven, Jaydon and Shelby) of Lethbridge. Heather’s children also mourn the loss of a great friend, Glen & Rusty Watmough (Logan) of Calgary, Ryan and Vicki Watmough of Butte, Montana, and Jeff Watmough (Kajal Devani) of Calgary.
