Linda was a life-loving, fun-having, family-involved, enthusiastic sports fan. She was honoured throughout her life with a number of accolades, starting with receiving her social work degree from the University of Lethbridge. From there she went on to working in the justice system for the Alberta Government. During her career she was awarded with the Alberta Governor General's Medal for Exemplary Service. At the time of her retirement she was celebrated with a formal ceremony at which time she was honoured with a native name by the indigenous people of the Blood Reserve: Ninaakii - "Chief Woman".

Linda will be fondly remembered for her enthusiasm and absolute commitment to all sports, in particular to the San Francisco 49ers and all of the junior hockey teams in Lethbridge. One area of her life that was so important to her was animals; especially her cats. Linda also loved going to Apache Junction, Arizona to spend the winters with her retirement friends.

Family was paramount to Linda. She was always present and available to support when a helping hand was needed and enjoyed every moment with her nieces and nephews. The commitment that she had to her family will last through generations and will be forever remembered in the hearts and minds of those that live on.

At Linda's request, no formal Funeral Service will take place; instead relatives and friends are invited to a Come-and-Go Reception at the NEW DYNASTY RESTAURANT - 103 7th Street South, Lethbridge, AB. on Saturday, April 15th, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.
