HONORINÉ EMILIENNE FETTIS, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the age of 85 years. She is the loving mother of Gary Fettis, of Prince George, Mark Fettis, of Salt Spring Island, BC, Marina (Don) Fix, of Lethbridge, and their father Angus Fettis, of Qualicum Beach, BC; as well as six grandchildren Laura and Hanna Fettis of Prince George, Jessica Fettis and Scott Shields, of Salt Spring Island, BC, Riley and Jenna, of Lethbridge, AB. She is also survived by one brother Joseph (Jeanette) Saurette, of Winnpeg, MB, one sister Flo Saurette, of Winnipeg, MB, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter Heather Anne. Honoriné affectionately known as Honey was born in Letellier, MB into a large family. Growing up on the farm she learned to cook, knit and sew her own clothes. She moved out west with a friend and started her nursing career, married and raised four children. Honey gave a lot of her time to volunteering. She was a member of the C.W.L., and was always helping out in the church. She prided herself in donating blood for many years. She was always a caregiver to the elderly and later in life with her daughter Heather. She had many passions, skiing, bowling, gardening, knitting, crocheting and her absolute love was making crafts and mentoring other with her skills. Her Catholic devotion gifted her a life filled with faith, hope and charity. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 604 - 13th Street North, Lethbridge, on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Tim Boyle celebrant. Cremation to follow.
