On Friday, July 29, 2011, Viola Ruth Ens faithful servant was welcomed into the arms of her saviour after a long battle with several health issues. Vi was predeceased by her husband George. She is the loving mother of Connie (Ken) Kevol, Debbie Breen (Tony Rutter) and Gordon Ens. She is grandmother to Cameron (Kelley) Kevol, Kyle (Deanna) Talbot, Jordan (Lindsay) Kevol, Carly Talbot and great-granddaughter Jamie Rae Talbot.
Mom was also predeceased by her parents Otto and Anna Leines, brothers Bill and Conrad Leines and sister Florence Carpenter. Mom was born in Winnipeg, MB on September 23, 1927. Mom invited Christ into her life when she was 12 years old and lived her life as a God fearing woman and devoted wife and mother. Mom and Dad had a wonderful marriage and we are eternally grateful for the loving home in which we were raised. Vi was a hairdresser for many years and worked in retail until her retirement. Vi is also survived by George’s siblings Mary Gossen, Abe (Liz) Ens, Henry (Susan) Ens, Jake (Marilyn) Ens, Lena Redies-Gans, David (Mary) Ens and several nieces and nephews. Also predeceasing her were in-laws Rev. Abram (Maria) Ens, Sue Ens, Margaret Veer, Neta Gans, John Gossen, Peter Veer, Helmut Redies and Leo Gans. The family would also like to thank devoted friends Pauline Rapson, Mel and Joan Nemecek for their unconditional love for Mom. Also thanks to the many friends and relatives who visited Mom and encouraged her, especially since Dad’s passing. A Funeral Service will be held at IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 20 Rocky Mountain Blvd. West, Lethbridge on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Nathan Fuehrer, officiating. Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
