LOIS FRANCES ELLINGSON (née Crawford) was born on February 24, 1948 and passed away February 20, 2020 at the age of 71.

LOIS FRANCES ELLINGSON (née Crawford) was born on February 24, 1948 and passed away February 20, 2020 at the age of 71.

Lois leaves to celebrate her life her husband Brad, daughter Kirsty, grandson Arik, and granddaughter Giannina. Lois also leaves three sisters, Terri-Ann Hyshka (Larry), Patsy Crawford, Carol Deck (Gary), and a brother, David Crawford, along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Lois was predeceased by her mother Marie (Rode) Crawford, father Andrew Crawford, sisters Edythe Baglole and Linda Crawford, mother-in-law Mary (Pozzebon) Ellingson and father-in-law Hans Ellingson.

Lois was educated in Lethbridge before going to Olds to take her training as a Certified Nurse's Aide. Upon completion, she returned to Lethbridge and worked at the Municipal Hospital until her marriage to Brad Ellingson in 1973. Lois also worked at TNT Travel, where she had the opportunity to go to Cuba among other excursions.

Lois loved art and was a very creative person. She painted, drew with pastels, made porcelain dolls, and stained glass—to name a few. Lois was also an avid reader along with doing crossword puzzles. She loved to tend her plants both inside and out.

Lois enjoyed travel, and wherever there was a museum, art gallery or opportunity to gain knowledge, we were sure to visit. Seattle, Vancouver and the Butchart Gardens, as well as Sunday drives, are favourite memories. One of Lois's other enjoyments was attending Hurricanes games, where she would yell and cheer with the best of them (which—for anyone who knew her—was quite the opposite of her nature).

The family wishes to thank the staff at Good Samaritan Park Meadows Village, with gratitude to her Cottage staff.

There will be no funeral by request, but a small family ceremony at the grave side at a later date. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to the charity of your choice or to Spinal Cord Injury Alberta (SCI).
