EGGER Barbara Jean Egger passed away Saturday July 2, 2011 at the age of 80 years. Barb was born in Kamloops BC on October 4, 1930. She was raised and lived in Pritchard BC until she started to work in Kamloops at the age of 17. While on the return road trip with a girlfriend and her friend’s father to Regina, Barb chose to stay in Calgary. While working at Crescent Lumber, she met her future husband. She and Ray married in June of 1951 and moved to the Egger homestead at Barons. After moving to Duchess their son Don and daughter Roberta were born. Barb and Ray ranched and farmed in southern Alberta and northern BC, and returned to Lethbridge in 1995 to retire. Barb leaves to mourn her passing her children, Don (Jan) Egger and Rob (Bob) Garden; 3 grandchildren Ryan (Andrea) Egger, Shannon Laughlin, Becky (Alexi) Zenkevich; and 6 great grand children. Barb is also survived by her brother Charles (Jean) Carson and sister Bernice Anderson. Barb was predeceased by her husband, Ray in 2008. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
