EDWARD FREDERICH WUTKE, of Nobleford passed away at St. Therese Villa, on Monday, August 24, 2009 at the age of 90 years.
Ed, the second youngest of seven children, was born July 17, 1919 on the family farm in Waldersee, Manitoba to Emil and Margaret.
He grew up on the farm growing grain and raising cattle. In 1952, Ed married Lilly Pfahl and together they had four children. In 1969, he sold the farm and moved to Gladstone, Manitoba where he worked for area farmers until his retirement.
Ed moved to Rose Butte Apartments in Nobleford in April of 1999 to be closer to his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed his morning coffee at the caf? with the local guys joking around, talking about the weather and the art of farming. When the weather was nice, he could be seen riding his bicycle around town.
In December 2008, Ed then moved to Lethbridge and resided at St. Therese Villa until his passing.
Ed loved horses, fishing and watching Bull Riding and Wrestling on TV. He was an avid hunter all his life and got his biggest mule deer at the age of 88.
He loved to watch his grandchildren grow up, often saying that he had worn out his shoes pushing them in their strollers. He especially enjoyed spending time with his great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his children Harold (Joselynn) Wutke of Nobleford, AB., Donna (Tymen) Stotyn of Monarch, AB., Eileen (Curtis) Mark of Whitecourt, AB. and Ron (Bobbie) Wutke of Granum, AB.
