"The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want." Psalm 23:1

HENRY DRONKELAAR, beloved husband of the late Henny Dronkelaar, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the age of 89 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children Art (Joyce) Dronkelaar, Lucy (Delbert) Kooy, Pat (Don) Groot, John (Colleen) Dronkelaar, and Allan (Melissa) Dronkelaar; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends.

Henry was predeceased by his wife Henny (2004), and by all his seven siblings.

Henry was born on February 24, 1929 near Nijkerk, Netherlands. As there were no opportunities on the family farm, he decided to immigrate to Canada in 1948 at the age of 19.

Henry married Henny Slomp on November 16, 1955 in Iron Springs, Alberta. They farmed in the area for 37 years till their retirement in 1992, when they moved to their home in Picture Butte. Henry loved farming and continued to help out on the family farm after his retirement.

A Private Interment will be held at the Huntsville Cemetery near Iron Springs, on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 followed by a Memorial Service at the IRON SPRINGS CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH at 2:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, Box 767, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2L4.

There are not many men in this world with the mind and heart of this man. He was exceptionally kind and I have great respect and love and honour for him. My sincere condolesences to each of his children their spouses, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. I truly loved this man and owe him much appreciation for his loving acceptance of me. His heart embraced me, his words loved me, I will miss the beauty of his soul.
