DRISCOLL, ROBERT EDWARD GLENDEN

It is with deep sorrow that we announce that ROBERT EDWARD GLENDEN DRISCOLL lost his battle with heart disease at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, November 5, 2010 at the age of 74 years. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years Barbara, sons; Kenneth, Bradley (Rosalie), David (Tracey) and Stephen (Laurie) and grandchildren; Adam, Kelsey, Hailey and Jordan. Also left to mourn is his brother David Lloyd Driscoll. Bob was predeceased by his parents Francis and Emma and his brother Raymond. Bob was born in Calgary, Alberta on October 16, 1936. After completing Electrical Engineering courses at SAIT, he was employed by Alberta Government Telephones where he worked for 35 years until retirement in 1991. Bob loved camping, particularly summers in West Glacier with the grandchildren and autumns in Waterton. Bob loved travelling with Barb and his family and many wonderful memories were created in Maui, Mexico, PEI and the Oregon Coast. Bob loved the time he spent with his precious grandkids. Whether it was watching them play sports, taking them for walks with the dogs or teaching them to play crib by the light of the campfire, their time together was always special. Bob was also especially fond of the many canine companions who enriched his life through the years. After the loss of his beloved “Casey”, he and Barb provided a temporary warm home for many dogs whose owners were away on vacations, etc. At Bob’s request, there will be no Funeral Service. A private family Interment will occur on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, following which friends and family are invited to gather at Bob and Barb’s house, 2213 - 40th Street South, Lethbridge from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to share fond memories.
