To everything there is a season……our family is saddened to say “until we meet again” to a wonderful man who we all looked up to. Doug was my second cousin and our families spent much time together……fond memories of Park Lake water skiing, swim club and diving at the Fort Macleod pool. He was a special person ❤️❤️

It is with great sadness and many fond and wonderful memories that I offer my profound sympathy to you, Debbie, and your family. Doug truly was ‘one of a kind’ as expressed by Darrell McKenna..and yes, I remember you fondly as well Darrell!
My formative teaching days at FPWalshe in Macleod were greatly influenced by Doug and the other great staff members that shared a close bond. You all remain close in my loving thoughts and wonderful memories!
The ‘gang’ made teaching so much to look forward to and Pinder was one of those special ones that who brought much light, joy and cheer to sharing the days with wonderful students and staff!!
I am sure that the care and love that Doug always shared will always live on in the memories of those who taught beside him, as well as all his beloved students .
Doug’s beautiful example of treating every student with dignity and respect and caring have always been something I tried to emulate throughout my career. He put fun and laughter into each day for all around him, and made every day special. A very special, well loved man!
Rest in peace Doug!
Your big bright star is shining gloriously up in the heavens!
JOB WELL DONE PINDER!
With love,

My condolences to Debbie, Shawn, Shelley, Michael and others. Mr. Pinder was a kind and generous man. He was a neighbour during my childhood and close friends with my parents. It warms my heart remembering learning to ski, and getting up at 6am to go workout in the morning with him. So many camping trips and other memories. You will be greatly missed!

Doug was a true leader and teacher in every sense of the word. I had the privilege of being a leader with Doug (Akela) of the 1st Fort McLeod cub and scout group. With his knowledge and guidance he made our scouting group one of the best in Alberta. Thank you Akela and rest in peace.

We shared some unique times together - always marched to the beat of his drum where principles, family and friends and every student he taught were important. From a personal view, I knew his best and most important part of his life started when he met Debbie

Mr. Pinder was one of the best teachers I ever had, and with 1 diploma and 3 degrees I have had a lot of teachers over the years. We (Brent Gunderson, Ricky Davis, Cindy Campbell and I) learnt a lot (maybe not a lot but it was all memorable) and had great fun in Mr. Pinder's Grade 8 science class. My condolences to Debbie and family. Lori
