Besides her husband, Doreen was also predeceased by her parents, Richard and Alice, and her brother Tom in England, and her sister Eileen in Canada.
Doreen was born in London, England on Feb 03, 1936. She married Len in 1957, and along with their three children, they immigrated to Canada in 1973. Doreen worked for many years at Southland Credit Union, and later, as a Unit Clerk on 4C at the Regional Hospital. After retirement, she continued as a Volunteer in Out-Patients at the hospital for several more years, as she loved her job and her lifelong friends that she had made there.
Doreen lived at both The View and AgeCare in her later years, and made many new and dear friends. Everyone fondly remembers her as a “very sweet lady”. Mum had a heart of gold, and her family meant more to her than anything. Our phones would ring every day with calls or texts to make sure everyone was okay. She loved nothing more than to see her family happy, healthy and safe. She would light up when her grandkids or great-grandkids came to visit, and she was the ultimate cheerleader at every school concert, birthday party, sports game, wedding, any event that her family was participating in, she was there, front row, cheering and smiling. She was loved by all, and will be dearly missed.
A Come and Go Reception will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 12:30 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. Refreshments will be served.

To Denise,Lorraine and Gary. It is so sad to read this announcement. I use to love to see your Mom and Dad come into the lab for their weekly bloodwork. There were such a cute couple. I enjoyed their English accent and the visits we had. Your mom was a real Gem. Just remember this is not good bye - it is until you meet again. God bless to you and your families.
