DONALD MCCAIG

MR. DONALD GILBERT MCCAIG of Lethbridge passed peacefully away at the Edith Cavell Care Centre on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at the age of 77 years. He is survived by his siblings; Ruby Brooks of Riverton, MB, Gladys Berglund of Lethbridge, Sharon (Herb) Sommerfeld of Wetaskawin, his twin brother Ronald (Hazel) McCaig of Canoe, B.C., Gordon McCaig of Calgary, Ray (Anne) McCaig of Canoe, B.C. and Gerald (Laverne) McCaig of Edmonton as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Lillian and nephew Kenny. Donald was born on April 12, 1930 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and was raised and educated in Lethbridge. He later moved to Wetaskawin with his family and then returned back to Lethbridge where he resided until his passing. Donald was a huge Oilers fan and loved to play crib. His sense of humour will be fondly remembered by his family and friends. No formal Funeral will be held in Lethbridge. A private family Graveside Service will be held at EVERGREEN MEMORIAL GARDENS, 16102 Fort Road, Edmonton, Alberta on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. In memory of Donald, donations may be made to the Edith Cavell Care Centre, 1255 - 5th Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta, T1J 0V6.
