Donald Eldon Hunt, beloved husband of Sandra of Lethbridge passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on August 9, 2008 at the age of 69 years. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his 4 children; Wade, Rochelle (Lee) Neville, Shawn (Alyssa) and Chad all of Lethbridge, Grandchildren Britni and Avery Hunt of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Chloe Neville of Lethbridge. He is also survived by sisters Darlene, Jacquie and Judy; Mom and Dad Westling and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his parents Eldon and Winnifred Hunt. Don worked with the Lethbridge City Police for 30 years from 1963 to 1993. He was a member of the Appeals Commission and the Lethbridge Police Veterans Association for the last 15 years. As a member of the International Police Association, Don served on the executive at the local level and was Vice President West for the Canadian Section. Don was involved with many youth organizations; namely the Boys and Girls Club of Lethbridge, Teen Ed, Boy Scouts of Canada and Community Schools Association. A Memorial Service will be held at MCKILLOP UNITED CHURCH, 2329 - 15 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta on August 14, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Cathy Coates officiating. At Don’s request, his ashes will be laid to rest at his favorite family retreat. In memory of Don, donations may be made to Parkinson’s Society of Southern Alberta, 1254 - 3 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta, T1J 0J9, or a charity of one’s choice.
