DONALD ALEXANDER CARROLL

DONALD ALEXANDER CARROLL, beloved husband of the late Mary Carroll, of Lethbridge passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the age of 81 years, after a brief battle with cancer.

Don was a loving father to his daughters Darleen, Barb (Terry) Molnar, Penny (Mike Hennigar) and sons Gary and Wes (Marianne). Proud Grandfather to Jason (Leanne), Shane and Karla (Travis) Cox, and Great Grandfather to Jaxon Carroll. Don is also survived by one brother George (Dorothy) Carroll of Lethbridge and many nieces and nephews.

Don was predeceased by his parents John and Annie Carroll; sisters Emma (Sam) Kabanuck, Marie Carroll, Ruth (John) Schmidt, and brothers Peter (Ella) Carroll and Joe Carroll.

Don was born and raised on the farm in Verwood, Saskatchewan until moving to Lethbridge, Alberta in 1971. He enjoyed many years in real estate and later car sales which he continued to do privately after retirement.

Don’s younger years were spent playing fastball, curling and hunting and later fishing at Duck Lake, Montana.

After moving to Parkbridge Estates he enjoyed many hours playing pool, crib, dancing and sharing pot-luck dinners.

A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB., on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Harold Martin officiating. Private family interment at Mountain View Cemetery.
