MRS. DIANE BUTTAZZONI, beloved wife of James ‘Buzz’ Buttazzoni of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones at the Chinook Regional Hospital Friday October 19, 2007 at the age of 63 years. Besides her loving husband James, Diane is survived by her children; Len (Peggy) and grandsons Jim, Brad and Mike, Barb (Shane) and grandchildren Bryan, Amanda and Shalee and David (April) and granddaughters Kayla, Trinity and Alanna. She also leaves to mourn her brother Michael (Jackie) Dorchak, sisters Alice Ferguson and Debbie (Ron) Slawosky, sister-in-law Alberta (Tony) Van Dyck as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews all of whom will greatly miss ‘Auntie Di’. Diane was predeceased by her parents Steve and Annie Dorchak. Diane was born in Lethbridge on September 18, 1944. She received her education at St. Mary’s School and St. Joseph’s High School (CCH). When done with school, Diane met the love of her life Buzz and they spent their years together at their home in Hardieville. Diane made many friends during her life and many people will remember her from her years of working at Microtel, the Saan store in Park Meadows Mall and sampling her tasty treats that she baked for Alberta Meats. She gladly gave up various jobs to do the thing she loved best - babysitting the pride and joys of her life, her grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Hunt and the ICU nurses at the Chinook Regional Hospital for the wonderful care given to her and all the family. Also a special thanks to Deacon Frank Peta and Dr. Boyle. A Prayer Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 7 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at ST. BASILS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 604 - 13th Street North, Lethbridge, on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
