It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of our beloved ELLEN (née Hoenig) DELAINEY on Thursday, December 28, 2017.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband Fred; his sons Marc and Adam and their families; Ellen's sister Carol Hunkel and her children, Lori, David and Scott and their families, all from the Milwaukee WI area; as well as brothers-in-law, John (Geraldine), Bill (Deb), Dennis (Sylvia), Bob (Donna), Brian (Janet) and Neil (Rita) and their families.
Ellen was predeceased by her parents Raymond and Jeannette Hoenig and her little brother Lee.
Ellen retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sgt. and continued her skills as a bookkeeper with Berreth-Smith & Associates of Spokane, WA. She retired from there and soon married Fred in 2012. They made Coaldale, Alberta their home where she truly enjoyed her flower gardens and the trips her and Fred took before her illness.
Ellen's family would like to thank all those who lovingly showed care to her in her hour of need: Coaldale Homecare, Jack Ady Centre, Chinook Regional Hospital, St. Michael's Palliative Care and Cornerstone Funeral Home.
Ellen will be sadly missed and forever remembered.
At Ellen's request, no formal funeral service will be held.

I wish peace and comfort for Fred, her sister and their families at this difficult time. I am devastated by this news. Ellen was such an amazing lady with a huge heart and great sense of humor. I will miss her so much. Rest in peace, El. Love Sutun
I met Ellen through my daughter Sutun, and realized very quickly that Ellen was an incredibly caring and giving person. I was so saddened to hear of her cancer diagnosis and said many prayers for her. I'm so glad she met Fred as I know their time together brought her much happiness and peace. She will be greatly missed.
