It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Oma, Great grandmother & friend, Christina deWit in Lethbridge at the age of 82 on Nov 21st, 2021.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Oma, Great grandmother & friend, Christina deWit in Lethbridge at the age of 82 on Nov 21st, 2021.

Christina came to Canada in 1952 with her parents, brothers and sister. Her youngest brother was born after arriving in Canada. Chris enjoyed growing up in the midst of eight brothers and one sister. Christina married Len deWit on September 3, 1960. They were blessed with two sons, Willie and Theo.

Christina was a very loving and generous individual. She always had time for a cup of coffee and a good chat. Her door was always open. Christina was a positive influence in many lives and she helped many people throughout her caring life.

Christina was predeceased by her loving husband Len and their son Theo in 1987.

Christina is survived by her son Willie (Suzan) and their children Ashley (Patrick), Sarah (Rick), Len (Katherine) and Caitlyn (Aaron), great grandchildren Gracie, Carter, Mila, Leo and Cal. She is also survived by two of her brothers, Ron Van Dyk (Brigitte) and Cory Van Dyk (Jean).

Extended families, Tannys and Robert Bignold and their children Kelsey and Jaycee. Eleanor and Clinton Campbell and their children Matthew and Carter.

Those who wish, donations in Christina's memory may be made to, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 1818 5th Avenue South Lethbridge, AB T1J 0W6; Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation 960 - 19 Street South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 1W5

A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, on Friday, December 17th, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. The service will be livestreamed and may be accessed via Christina's obituary on the Cornerstone website. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge.

A reception will be held at the German Canadian Club, 902 - 6 Street North, Lethbridge.  Those who wish to attend, government identification and a QR Code must be presented.
