DONALD MICHAEL DAVOREN, beloved husband of 43 years to Penny Davoren of Coaldale, Alberta, passed away suddenly at the Chinook Regional Hospital with his family by his side on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the age of 65 years. He is a loving father of Chris (Laurie) Davoren of Millet, AB, Jon (Joanne) Davoren of Alexandria, VA, USA and Brad (Diana) Davoren of Lethbridge, AB. He is also a loving brother to Pat Lee (Ken Atkinson) of New Westminster, BC. Don was very proud of his four beautiful granddaughters; Kira, Savannah, Jaida and Kaylee.
He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Winnifred. Don was born on October 6, 1945 in Kelowna BC. He enjoyed cooking, Iron Chef, tinkering with his VW Beetles, spending time in Pt. Roberts at the family beach house as well as family trips to Mexico in the fall.
A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with Tributes to start around 5:00 p.m. Out of love for his granddaughters and in lieu of flowers, donations can be mailed or dropped off to Scotiabank, P.O. Box 1450, Coaldale, AB T1M 1N2, in care of Penny Davoren (In trust) for his granddaughters education.
