Neville was born in Church Stretton, Shropshire, England. He served in the British Navy before immigrating to Canada and careered with the Canadian Armed Forces. He then moved to Lethbridge and worked with the Corps Commissionaires until he retired.

Neville is survived by his wife Emma of 62 years of marriage and by his daughter

Karen (Tony Kok), grandchildren Christopher (Emily) and Ashleigh (Robert) and five great-grandchildren John, Kate, Carter, Kinda and Emma.

He was predeceased by their daughter Kinda in 1961.
